As surprising as the phone alerts going off for a snow shower, February unexpectedly had lots of new music to be discovered.
Here is a fresh list of new songs ( Or new to me) with some random commentary added for entertainment purposes only. Sit back, turn up the volume and enjoy a few songs to send February off for another year.

The Knocks - Slow Song (With Dragonette)
All you have to say is Dragonette and I am all in for a song. Any band that can create the song “Fire in your New Shoes” will always be on a list for me. ( Check it out if you want to take a You Tube detour)
This is a nice slow entry into this month’s list of music.
09
Galantis x Lucas & Steve x Ilira - Alien
Since this is a Pop Song Squall warning might as well get this going full on after a mild Florence beginning.
Galantis always it good for bringing the beats to induce a nice winter thaw of ice that has accumulated in your bones and joints.
08
Mike Maimone - Dirty
The entry just for pure fun.
07
AJR - Ordinaryish People feat. Blue Man Group
This might be a sad confession, however didn’t realize the Blue Man Group was still around.
06
Sofi Tukker - Original Sin
This song has me thinking that this summer I might need to dig out the tennis racquets and hit the courts again after missing out for a few years. Anyone want to join me? Warning, I used to have a pretty mean serve.
05
Pixie Geldof - Women Go Wild
This song is a few year old and always a mystery to me how this didn’t become a big hit. Once this song gets going in your head it takes a long long time to stop.
“ slow , slow , down”
04
Stellastarr* - My Coco
A Netflix series had me discover this awesome 2002 song. This was the finale song for the series “Special”. I would recommend this two season series to anyone.
“I sat alone and I didn’t care…”
03
The Linda Lindas - Oh!
Is there any way for me to resist a group that is like a mix of the Go-Go’s and Crayon pop! Oh! Oh!
02
Trixie Mattel - This Town feat.@Shakey Graves
The beginning feels like a time warp and instead of Wausaukee, Wisconsin and 2004 it could have been Sauk Prairie Wisconsin and 1982….. Except I didn’t play guitar and didn’t become famous… even if at the time said I was going to go to New York when I graduated High School to act on “All My Children” to play Erika Kane’s next very young husband and steal all her Enchantment money.

Walt Disco - How Cool Are You?
Yes, I probably only like this song because it would be so fun to be any of these guys ice skating to this song.
Hope you enjoyed this list.
The next list will be out out around March 27th, by then ice will have melted and spring will have started to appear…..Hopefully
